Blessed be the Holy Name of Mary!

Beginning September of this year, the new vocation director of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, Fr. Liam McDonald will be in residence at Holy Name of Mary Parish.  Fr. Liam is a good friend of mine, and I am very pleased that he will be coming here.   Please pray for Fr. Liam as he begins this crucial ministry for our local church.  

I would like to thank the Dominican Friars, Br. Cassian, Br. Peter, and Br. Barnabas for presenting the Godward series to the parish. It was a wonderful experience to see them preaching to the faithful.  Let us keep these 3 friars in our prayers.  God willing, they will be ordained priests in a few years.  

Let us also pray for our country as we just celebrated 250 years of her birth.  May it continue to be a nation where people are truly free to love and praise the Lord.  

As you may have noticed we have launched a new website design.  It is the same URL but a different look.  There may be a few mishaps as we begin this.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Lastly, the new Mass schedule has gone into effect.  There will no longer be a an 8:30 Mass for Monday through Thursday.  Please read my letter regarding these changes.  

Stay cool and hydrated during these hot days and don’t forget to pray.
